I’m Thomas Panas, PhD

I am on a journey to live healthier and have made many small but substantial changes to my life towards longevity. They range from nutrition changes to sleeping and exercise experiments using various tools. In this blog I share some of my findings.

Gadgets and Fitness Aids I use

Here is a list of items I use daily if not almost daily. I will write some more reviews about the items I use in the near future.

For Exercise and Measurement:

  • TIMETOOK Treadmill . This is how I started increasing my exercise and VO2max
  • ZWIFT HUB . I bike indoors using the Zwift app. The hub allows for inclines and resistance based on the track.
  • RENPHO Scale . Simple and more reliable than other scales I had.
  • Apple Watch . In particular I use a few apps with it that I like: Gentler Streak, SmartGym, Longevity are my favorite
  • Wedge Blocks . Great for stretching and flexibility.
  • Weighted Vest . I wear this for walks and hikes.

For Stress and Sleep Management:

  • Sunrise Sensations . I use this every morning. I found this to be better than competitive products.
  • Whoop (1 month free). The app makes this device worthwhile. Really great in tracking sleep and fitness.
  • Eight Sleep ($200 off). Love the temperature controlled mattress. Little expensive.
  • Sensate Relexation. I use it to mediate. It helps me be consistent about it.
  • Pulsetto . Only use 5 to 10 min a day before bed.

Nutrition and Health Management:

  • Nutrisense . Continuous Glucose Monitor helps me better understand the relationship of food and my glucose. Helped me optimize my fasting window.
  • Vitamin Organizer
